- September 14-November 16 – Yoga with Kim Mulder: Autumn is coming; a new season will begin; change is certain. Find steadiness and flexibility in Yoga while on the mat and in life. You are invited to join Kim Mulder, RYT 200, for a yoga class which will strengthen, lengthen and invigorate the body, heart and mind. This class is an alignment-based class and is accessible to all from beginners to those who have an established practice. We will meet Friday mornings, 8:15-9:15, in the Youth Room from September 14 through November 16. Class fee is $10/class at the door. Mats available. - September 21 – Parents Families and Friends of LGBTQ (PFLAG/Holland Lakeshore) meeting: 7:00 pm. We will view and discuss a segment of Word Is Out about gay people during the mid-20th century. Gender SAFE (Supporting All For Equality) meets 6 to 7 pm. Both groups meet at Grace Episcopal Church, 555 Michigan Ave, Holland.
- September 30 – Holland Area Christians Uniting in Song and Prayer (CUSP): 3pm, Holland’s New Civic Center. As part of the dedication festivities for the Civic Center, CUSP has been asked to lead a hymn sing! Organist Peter Kurdziel will accompany and we all will sing to the rafters. The hymn sing will be followed by an ice cream social.
- October 4 – Women’s Service Day: At Women’s Service Day, you can offer time, skills, and talent to nonprofit organizations in the Holland/Zeeland area, learn about issues for area women and children, and network among women in our community. Online registration opens on September 4 and volunteer opportunities will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information about the event, go to womensserviceday.com. Our event will include a raffle to raise funds for Camp Sunshine, a local nonprofit that looks to expand its services for adults with developmental disabilities.
