All are invited to a free 90 minute presentation by Rev. James Alison and Duncan Morrow on René Girard’s mimetic theory and its relevance to situations of political and religious conflict, beginning at 11 a.m. in Winants Auditorium at Hope College on Saturday, May 28.

James Alison is a Catholic priest, prolific author, and one of the foremost theological interpreters of Girard’s mimetic theory of culture. Duncan Morrow is the Director of Community Engagement at the University of Ulster and has long experience applying Girard’s work to peacemaking in Northern Ireland.

Box lunches will be available afterwards for those who register in advance by Wednesday, May 25. To register for lunch or find out more, contact Curtis Gruenler, Director of General Education, gruenler@hope.edu.
