Jill Russell, Minister, came to Hope Church in 2008. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Calvin College and her M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary. Jill specialized in Interim Ministry before coming to Hope Church, serving churches in New Jersey and New York. She and her partner, Andrew Bunnell, are delighted to raise their two children here in Holland. Jill enjoys walks through the neighborhood, lots of play time with the kids at the city parks, and living closer to extended family.
Gordon WiersmaMinister, has enjoyed serving as a Pastor at Hope Church since 1999, having previously served congregations in Phoenix and Philadelphia. Gordon is graduate of Calvin College and completed his M.Div. at Princeton Theological Seminary. His family includes his wife, Dr. Anne Heath Wiersma, who is a professor of Art History at Hope College, and four children. Gordon enjoys basketball, Boggle, soccer, Sudoku, and Lake Michigan.

Beth Carroll, Resident Pastor for Youth and Young Adults, graduated from Hope College in 1996 with a degree in Theatre and Music and graduated from Western Theological Seminary in 2016 with her Masters of Divinity. She loves teenagers, her favorite two being her son Josiah and daughter Natalie. Beth enjoys running, the luxury of reading books not required by professors, live music, blogging, and posting wacky life musings on Facebook.
qiaoqiao-chen
Qiaoqiao Chen, Western Theological Seminary Intern, comes from the Mainland of China. She graduated with her Master of Engineering in Food Chemistry from Shanxi University, and she also served in the Taiyuan Reformed Evangelical Church of China from 2012 to 2016. This is Qiaoqiao’s first time to the US, and she thinks Holland is a lovely community! She and her friends ride their bicycles to Macatawa Lake or Windmill Island every day.
Alyssa Anten
Alyssa Anten, Western Theological Seminary Intern, is a Holland native- born and raised! She attended Kuyper College in Grand Rapids and graduated with her Bachelors of Social Work and a Bachelors of Arts in Bible and Theology. She currently resides in Grand Rapids with her husband of two years, CJ. She enjoys running and mountain biking, but also loves sitting and reading for hours at a time. She is deeply moved by powerful acts of social justice, and puts all of her energy into righting what is wrong in the world.
Megan Arevalo
Megan Arevalo, Church Administrator, oversees the administration of the ministry and facilities of Hope Church. She is a graduate of Calvin College, having majored in Psychology and Religion. Megan enjoys reading, taking walks, and time spent with her husband Joe, family, and friends.
Katie Norris
Katie Norris, Administrative Assistant, graduated from Calvin College and since then, has spent time working as a social worker at various non-profits throughout Holland. Katie describes the Norris’ family as a perfectly imperfect family that consists of 5 incredible sons and 1 fabulous daughter-in-law. Most often, you can find Katie with her family at the Outdoor Discovery Center or at various parks and community events. 
Karla Kammeraad-Bos

Karla Kammeraad-Bos, Financial Administrator, handles the “ins and outs”  and reporting of church finances. Karla and her husband Joel (son of members Bob and Judy Bos) have three children. Karla enjoys walking, and her “sickness” of keeping things organized benefits Hope Church daily.
Jocelyn VanHeest

Jocelyn VanHeest, Children’s Ministry Director, has been involved in some capacity with the children at Hope Church for 30 years; she enjoys being part of their early faith development. Jocelyn appreciates working with others at the church dedicated to fulfilling their baptismal promise to the children. She enjoys reading, bridge, crafts, officiating volleyball, and the beautiful Adirondack Mountains.

Ginger Clark 2
Ginger Clark, Parish Nurse, is a Registered Nurse and graduate of Mercy Central School of Nursing; Grand Rapids. She has worked as a specialty nurse in Holland and Grand Rapids, MI, Clearwater, Florida and Toccoa, Georgia. She enjoys hiking, biking, bird watching, boating and spending quality time with family and friends. She lives in Holland with her husband, Tim and daughter, Ashley. She has 2 sons and 5 grandchildren living in South Carolina and Colorado.
Barbara Joldersma

Barbara Joldersma, Kids Hope USA Co-Director, coordinates the work of the Hope Church mentors, substitute mentors, and prayer partners who serve the at-risk children of Vanderbilt Charter Academy. A retired high school social studies teacher, Barb enjoys gardening and reading, and travel especially with her husband Dan to visit their two sons and seven grandchildren.
Vicki Rumpsa
Vicki Rumpsa, Kids Hope USA Co-Director, coordinates the work of the Hope Church mentors, substitute mentors, and prayer partners who serve the at-risk children of Vanderbilt Charter Academy. Her interests include reading about history, hiking the beaches of Lake Michigan, camping, and spending time with her 9 Grandchildren. 
Brian Carder

Brian Carder, Director of Music, directs the Chancel Choir of adult voices for weekly worship, leads worship as cantor, develops instrumentalists to accompany worship, and collaborates with our organist and other directors of music groups, and Carillon and youth choirs. Brian looks for relevant, approachable music from traditional literature and global resources to fully engage our worship liturgy. Outside of church, Brian sings in local community choral groups.

Rhonda
Rhonda Edgington, Organist, moved to Holland with her husband, Mark, and two children from Northern Germany in October 2011, becoming organist at Hope Church in January 2012. She also directs the Carillon Choir, performs as a recitalist, and is an accompanist at Hope College. When not making music or being a mom, Rhonda enjoys bike riding, reading, and baking.

Ric Beltran, Custodian, keeps our facility clean and organized; he sets up for meetings, weddings, and funerals. He’s in shape for it because he enjoys teaching karate. He and his wife Beth have three children and six grandchildren.
