The 2017 General Synod of the Reformed Church in America will be held at Hope College June 8 to 13. Among those participating from Hope Church are Jim Brownson and Carol Bechtel as General Synod Professors, Larry Schuyler as Moderator and Secretary of the Commission on Church Order, Terry DeYoung as the RCA Coordinator for Disability Concerns, Cindi Veldheer DeYoung as a member of the General Synod Council, Lois Maassen as an elder delegate representing Holland Classis, Kristen Gray as a delegate from the Commission on Women, and Jared Duimstra as a delegate from the Commission on Christian Discipleship and Education.
Several of these individuals will participate as panelists in a General Synod Review on June 18 at 11:15 a.m. in the Hope Church sanctuary. The review will be recorded and become available by CD (for limited circulation) from the church office after June 25.
