ANNOUNCEMENTS & EVENTS

for the week beginning October 25, 2026

Hope Church Info & Events

Message from the Hope Church Personnel Committee:  October is traditionally designated as “Pastor Appreciation.”  While we appreciate and honor our pastors, at Hope Church we broaden the idea and claim this time for “Church Staff Appreciation.”  As a church body we are privileged to have a group of outstanding individuals each contributing their best efforts to undergird the ministry of this church and care for the congregation. We all have something, indeed someones, to celebrate! Oct 25, is designated as “Church Staff Appreciation Sunday!”  It is a CUPCAKE SUNDAY in honor of our staff. After worship, find your cupcake and find a staff member to whom you can say, “Thank you.” You can also send a note of appreciation to the church office (office@hopechurchrca.org) to be shared at their staff meeting.  Hope Church has a great staff who work together as a unified team. THANK YOU!

Budget & Stewardship information for 2027 will be mailed out to the congregation by  the end of October. Copies of the information are available at the Welcome Desk in the Gathering Area. Please give prayerful thought to the level of contribution which you can commit during 2027. You are invited to turn in a pledge form to the church office or by mail, or bring your pledge form to church on Stewardship Sunday, November 8 to be brought forward as part of the Offertory. On Sunday, January 31, there will be a congregational meeting to discuss and vote on the 2027 budget. Thank you for your faithful support of our church, The Stewardship & Finance Ministry

Hope Church friends, you are all invited to a private shopping event at The Bridge downtown Holland (18th West 8th st) on Monday, November 2 from 5-7 pm. We will have a store-wide 20% discount for this event and sweet treats for you while you shop. Amy Kornelis, Manager of the Bridge

Way to Impact the World Around You

The Justice and Reconciliation Ministry asks our congregation to participate in these political and non-partisan activities:

Let’s come together to show our support for the work of Holland High School Principal, Andrea Mehall, by showering her with postcards thanking her for her leadership. Principal Mehall has been a strong leader in celebrating diversity and working for equity in Holland Schools and in our community. Postcards will be available on Sunday October 25.

The Justice & Reconciliation Ministry also invites you to pick up a “Guide to Immoderate Activism” which they have developed.
