logoGo & Glow Tip of the Week

Snacking can contribute to wellness if snacks are planned in advance. Instead of reaching for that bag of chips, consider some healthier options that contain fat-soluble vitamins, such as A, D,E, and K, that are found in carrots, almonds, fortified milk and tuna on whole wheat bread. Water-soluble vitamins such as B and C are also a good choice but these vitamins are eliminated the same day they are ingested, so it is very important to find foods to meet these requirements. Some examples are nuts, oranges, tomatoes, and raspberries. For more information, check out What you Must Know About Vitamins, Minerals, Herbs and More, by Pamela Wartian Smith, MD, MPH, available in the Hope Church library.

It’s not too late to join the Go & Glow Summer Fitness Initiative. Fitness goal cards are available at the entrances to the Sanctuary and in the Gathering Area.
