Well, sort of. To deliver the supplies and equipment that Camp Sunshine needs for their week of camping experiences for people with developmental disabilities in an inclusive environment on the shores of Lake Michigan.

For the last several years, a Hope Church crew has helped with move-in to Camp Blodgett and with stowing the materials away at the close of the camp session. Volunteers load one or more trucks with boxes and equipment from a storage unit on Holland’s north side, unload it and distribute it to the right locations at the camp, and, at the end of the week, reverse the process.

Move-in will happen on July 31 at 1 p.m.; move-out is on Monday, August 8, at noon. If you’re able to volunteer for either or both crews, please contact Lois Maassen by direct e-mail or by using the “contact” tab on this site.

Several Hope Church members have also volunteered as camp counselors or board members for Camp Sunshine; you can learn more about this program at the Camp Sunshine website.
