Resources for Affordable, Healthy, and Simple Living: Tuesday, August 30, 3 – 7 p.m. at the 8th Street Market at the Civic Center. There will be experts, information, and presentations on: jobs/careers; affordable living; health/wellness; finances/budgeting; volunteer opportunities; education; and recreation. This is a free event and fun for kids of all ages. Supporters and partners include Good Samaritan Ministries; Fifth Third Bank; United Way; Semco Energy; Michigan WORKS!; Chez Marcita, LLC; Gentex; Innovation Health; WJQ 99.3; Ready for School; and other local businesses, agencies, and churches.
