Blueberry Pies: Thank You

Thank you to the many hands who helped with the making and distribution of the blueberry pies, and thanks to all of you who purchased them. We made 309 pies and had a profit of $3,040. From this, $1,000 will be sent directly to the Haiti Foundation Against Poverty to pay for materials for the Gift of Hope women’s program, which teaches Haitian women new skills and gives them income to provide shelter and food for themselves and their children. In some cases these women have been able to reach out and help others beyond their immediate family. The remainder will be placed in the Family Mission Trip Fund to help cover costs of a mission trip to Haiti scheduled for April 4-11, 2016.
