Hope Church Organist, Rhonda Edgington, will again play an Advent organ recital on December 13 at 4:15 pm, this year with music of the 20th and 21st centuries from France and America. There will be music by Dupre – his Variations on a Noel, based on a famous Noel that you will recognize. This piece utilizes many different sounds of the organ, and ends with a brilliant toccata. Also, Rhonda will be performing Variations on Greensleeves, by contemporary American composer James Woodman, and selections from the O Antiphons by Nico Muhly, a 33-year old American composer influenced by rock/popular music.
