Join us this year on the first Sunday of Advent, to bring in the new season with our annual Advent Organ recital, on Sunday, December 2 at 5pm.
Rhonda will be joined this year by local musicians Jordan VanHemert on saxophone and Lauren Garza on viola. Rhonda and colleagues will perform a few ensemble pieces, based on Advent and Christmas themes. Rhonda will play some solo organ works, incorporating well-known seasonal tunes, as well as tunes that may be new to you. There will also, as in previous years, be a chance for us all to sing together some familiar, and not-so-familiar Advent and Christmas hymns, with organ and instrument accompaniment. Come join us the first Sunday in December for an hour of music to get you in the Advent mood!
Please note: On Dec. 2, there will be a second bus pick up at 4:20 pm at Resthaven-40th St., 4:30 pm at Freedom Village, and 4:40 pm at Warm Friend.
