Advent Preparation
There are three opportunities to sign up to be involved in Advent and more to come in the weeks ahead.
- Advent Wreath Litany Readers: Hope Church needs 2 more households to come into the sanctuary to record reading the litany and lighting the advent candles. The pastors will coordinate a time to record once a household signs up! The videos will then be used during the services on the four Sundays of Advent. To sign up go to https://tinyurl.com/
adventreaders - Making Advent Wreaths: On Sat. & Sun., November 28 & 29, 1pm-3pm you can come to the Hope Church parking lot under the canopy to make an Advent Wreath to use for the coming Advent Candlelight Gatherings. Sign up at https://tinyurl.com/
hopewreath We will have tables, greens, wreath holders, candles and our new outdoor heaters all set up for you to come and make a wreath and see some Hope Church friends! Masks will be required and we will distance ourselves as households but hope to take advantage of the canopy as a space we can be together outside. - Sunday, December 20 at 6:30 p.m. – Advent/Christmas hymn sing: This will be livestreamed over Facebook and led by Rhonda Edgington and Barb and Dave Schmitt. This will be a service made up of just singing our favorite Advent and Christmas hymns with organ, so start thinking of which hymn(s) you love and want to make sure you have a chance to sing this year. You can submit 1 or 2 hymn requests by going to https://tinyurl.com/
hymnrequest. Depending on response, we may only sing a couple verses of most hymns, so make a special note if you definitely want all verses, or if you have a particular verse you do not want to have left out! Deadline to submit requests is December 13.
