Hope Church member, Anna Blauw, was recently featured in the Holland Sentinel for her involvement working with Mercy Ships, a global charity whose mission is to provide hope and healing to the world’s forgotten poor. Mercy Ships currently has one ship, the “Africa Mercy”, that works off the coast of West Africa. With a crew made up of 450 volunteers from all over the world, the ship spends six to ten months in each country that it visits, providing life-saving surgery, dental care, eye surgery, physical therapy, and palliative care.
