You can buy pigs-in-the-blanket made from a Dutch family recipe and support the Nuestra Casa neighborhood center being planned and renovated on 15th Street. The neighborhood center is a joint project between Good Samaritan Ministries (through Westcore Neighbors, part of the Neighborhood Connections program, which Hope Church is joining for our own neighborhood), New Community Fourth Reformed Church, and Women’s Service Day.

During Women’s Service Day, scheduled for October 6, volunteers will work at Nuestra Casa, around the neighborhood, and for agencies that have come to rely on its support over the past nine years.

Among the projects in support of the center is a fundraiser, the preparation of homemade Dutch pigs-in-the-blanket* by Women’s Service Day members in the Hope Church kitchen. Cost is $10 per dozen, and all proceeds go to the renovation fund for Nuestra Casa. Now is the time to order yours!

Using this online form, please enter the required fields and submit the form no later than October 2.

Your purchase of pigs must be picked up on October 6 between 5 and 6 p.m. at Hope Church. Payment is accepted by cash or checks written to Good Samaritan Ministries, which is managing the fund for the Nuestra Casa restoration.

Bon appétit!
