- Add an environmentally-focused book to your book club or reading list, like Garbage Land, by Elizabeth Royte, Earth-Wise by Calvin B. DeWitt, and Eaarth, by Bill McKibben.
- Find out when there will be a cleanup day of a local river or park and participate in it.
- Purchase products from environmentally responsible companies.
