DSCN0808-980x600Water Quality Tours of Lake Macatawa – July 17 and 18: The tours are free of charge and last approximately 1.5 hours. Tour times are: 9:00-10:30 am, 11:00-12:30 pm, 1:30-3:00 pm on Friday, July 17, and 9:00-10:30 am and 11:00-12:30 pm on Saturday, July 18. Tours will depart from the Yacht Basin Marina. On the tour, participants will experience hands-on science as they sample and analyze lake water. Registration is required as space is limited. logoMacatawa Water Festival at Windmill Island Gardens – July 25: Join us Saturday July 25 as we celebrate our local natural resources and watershed during this fun afternoon filled with activities promoting Project Clarity! It’s a FREE event – lots of activities, kayaking, biking, Windmill tours, trout fishing for the kids and so much more. Click here for more information. The festival also needs 70+ volunteers. Volunteers will be given a shirt and one free ticket to the “farm to table” lunch buffet catered by Hope College and shifts are set up in such a way that volunteers will work only half the festival open times.  They are able to enjoy the remaining time with friends and family. Want to volunteer for the Macatawa Water Festival?  Click here to sign up.
