With the arrival of September, we also celebrate the return of the Chapel Service! I’m very much looking forward to this service’s return into our regular rhythm as well as the chance to engage this service through the Vital Worship Grant we received to continue to explore ways to engage embodied worship practices within our chapel services.
Here’s some details concerning the service:
First Chapel Service of the Year:
September 20 at 11:00am.
Rhythm of Meeting:
Most often, the Chapel Service meets the second, third, and fourth Sundays of the month at 11am. The first Sunday of the month we will all gather in the Sanctuary together for worship. (The season of Advent will shake that up a little bit, but don’t worry we’ll find our way through that together).
What to Expect:
The chapel service uses three rhythms of engaging scripture as guidelines for its time. They are Lectio Divina, Scripture Enactment, and Engagement Through Art and they generally take place on the second, third, and fourth Sundays respectively. (Though we reserve the right to go off that schedule often).
If you are looking for ways to get involved, want to be a part of the scripture enactment team, or want to volunteer to help with music please reach out to me! I’d be excited to connect with you.
I look forward to seeing what the Spirit has in store for us as we return to worship in this way. Come and see!
