Church School News
Church School kicked off on September 13. All children ages 3 through 5th graders are invited to gather in Room 204 at 9:40. We will do a variety of activities that will help us to understand that each of us has gifts given by God that we can share with the world. We will learn together how important children are to God and the world and we all can make a difference to others while sharing our special skills and talents. Throughout the year the children‘s stories will be presented and enriched with music, art, personal reflection and interaction with the teachers and the other children.
It is an important benefit to our children that Hope Church provides both Church School and Children in Worship each Sunday. The Church School lessons are presented to reach children through a variety of learning styles. The children are given the opportunity to hear stories that may not be told in the worship centers and these stories are often presented to introduce a theme, to give prospective to a sequence of events and to relate them to how we live in our world. Plan to take advantage of this opportunity to nurture your family’s faith through both the adult and children’s offering.
Children in Worship
Children in Worship began on September 13. Children will leave the 11:00 a.m. service, meet together, and be led to their worship centers. The storytellers are looking forward to worshipping with them in this special environment throughout the year. Each week the story for each worship center is printed in the bulletin so members of Hope Church are aware of what the children are hearing and responding to, and also to let the children know that they are an important part of our congregation. Remember the children and storytellers that are worshipping in their centers in your prayers as you worship. As always we invite anyone who is interested in the Children in Worship experience and in our children to worship with them on any Sunday.
