Dr. James V Brownson will discuss his new book Bible, Gender, Sexuality: Reframing the Church’s Debate on Same-Sex Relationships. Dr Brownson is the James and Jean Cook Professor of New Testament Studies at Holland’s very own Western Theological Seminary. Eerdman Publishing describes Dr Brownson’s book as one that,
“argues that Christians should reconsider whether or not the biblical strictures against same-sex relations as defined in the ancient world should apply to contemporary, committed same-sex relationships.” Further, that “Brownson’s in-depth study will prove a useful resource for Christians who want to form a considered opinion on this important issue.”
