Many of you will recall Dr. Graham Peaslee’s presentation at Hope Church about the history and challenges facing the Macatawa Watershed. He referenced the Macatawa Area Coordinating Council (MAAC) as being one of the local agencies working to improve the watershed. The MAAC is looking for some help with their watershed program. Are you the kind of person that always has a camera in hand? Want to support a local agency that is working to improve our community’s water quality? If you have pictures of people, places, events or things related to the Macatawa Watershed you should consider entering them into the Macatawa Watershed Project photo contest! You could even win a Macatawa Watershed Project T-Shirt! We are looking for all types of pictures (scenery, people, community events, etc.) from all seasons. We want to show off the beauty in our community! Please upload your pictures on the Macatawa Watershed Project’s facebook page or send to to info@the-macc.org with your contact information (by December 30, 2011). The pictures will be used in upcoming newsletters, publications, and on our website. The top five pictures with the most “likes” will win a free T-shirt.
