Keeping you informed of the agencies Hope Church supports through the Community Ministry
Playing an active role in revitalizing housing in our community, Jubilee Ministries Inc. is all about strengthening Holland’s neighborhoods. Its work includes:
- Complete home renovations
- Owning and managing Midtown Center located at 95 West 15th Street
- Owning and overseeing the Renaissance Building at 501 West 17th Street in South Shore Village, home to several local businesses
Jubilee Ministries has renovated 25 houses which are now homeowner occupied. The houses they have rescued are ones that commercial developers aren’t interested in and are too far gone for landlords. They’re houses that have been empty for a long period of time and are in serious disrepair. Jubilee Ministries, together with Taking Root Ministries, renovates these houses and sells them for homeowner occupied properties. One of the houses is now a lovely home to Jill Russell and Andrew Bunnell and family. The profit from the sale of these homes is then reinvested into another purchase and the work continues, strengthening Holland’s neighborhoods.
