Maxine DeBruyn was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) on October 10th during the group’s 17th Annual National Conference in Phoenix, Arizona. She was honored for making a difference in dance education locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally across a career spanning more than 50 years. Earl Laman was named volunteer of the year at Community Kitchen this year! This is Earl’s 24th year of working at Community Kitchen. Community Kitchen is a program of Community Action House. Delivered through a partnership with Western Theological Seminary, the Community Kitchen provides a place to identify the needs and struggles of our most vulnerable neighbors while providing them with a free meal.
