Hope for Peace and Justice: Hope Church joins Lakeshore Women for Peace in sponsoring the 2017 International Peace Day Presentation, featuring Dr. Tom Arendshorst and the Hope College Peace and Justice curriculum at Herrick Library on September 18, 2017 from 7-8:30pm. We will be inspired by Dr. Tom Arendshorst’s journey from eye surgeon to Peace Studies professor. We will learn from the experience of Hope students enrolled in the Peace and Justice curriculum. And we will become better equipped to promote a more peaceful and just world in our local community. Peace Day has been observed around the world each year since it was established in 1981 by a unanimous United Nations resolution.
