Dismantling Hope’s pipe organ was a fascinating procedure! Each pipe was carefully removed and packed for transport. The keyboard, pedals, and stops were removed from the chancel and readied for shipping. Even the angel carvings had to be taken down to safely remove the larger pipes (some of which were carried by four people!) The angels are back on their pedestals, but the next step will be installing some type of hanging to screen the large empty space behind them.
