The Community Ministry has designated the 2016 Thanksgiving Offering to create a fund to support the work of the Refugee Welcome Group. The Refuge Welcome Group has had great interest from Hope Church since last Spring, but it has taken time to begin work with families. In collaboration with other churches it has been determined that the most effective way for Hope Church to provide support is to assist other congregations in the hospitality they are providing to refugee families. That support is now underway, and this fund will make available resources for transportation, household, and personal needs in support of the refugee families.
