In Adult Education, Dr. Jim Brownson will lead this first of two Advent and Christmas Bible studies on the lectionary readings for this day. You can find the lectionary readings at the website entitled lectionary.library.vanderbilt.edu/. Bring your questions about any of the texts for the day, or just come hoping to learn!
On this day (and later), pre-K and elementary-age children are encouraged to take an ornament home with them from the tree in the Gathering Area at Hope Church. Enjoy them on your tree.
By joining Congregational Caroling, you can share the spirit of celebration and joy with those who find it difficult to join us. Poinsettias, gift bags, and cards will be shared as we carol. You don’t need a great voice, just a smile to share. Families and persons of all ages are encouraged to participate—many voices are needed! We especially encourage young families and youth to go caroling with other Hope Church members after a pizza lunch. They love to see the children and youth!
