Fourth Sunday in Lent
9:40 a.m. – Adult Education – Commons
Adult Education opportunities are intended for spiritual formation through biblical study and critical examination of cultural, social, and moral issues from a Christian perspective. Join us in the Commons at 9:40 a.m. on Sundays for these opportunities: Recordings of past adult ed sessions can be found here: Hope Church YouTube Channel
- March 30: Lighthouse Immigrant Advocates and Frontera de Gracia—A Story of Many Borders Immigration has made a quick rise in the headlines this year, and it brings many questions of rights, safety, community, and knowing how best to support our neighbors – new and established. Join Maggie from Lighthouse Immigrant Advocates as she provides updates about US Immigration, how best to support our surrounding community, and what it looks like to be a good neighbor in a volatile climate of change and tension. Seven minutes from the El Paso, Texas, and Mexico border, there is a place where strangers look each other in the eye, share a smile, and recognize the other’s identity as a child of God. At Frontera de Gracia (Border of Grace), guests find refuge and a place of worship on their migration journey. It’s also here that U.S. churches have an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus for our fellow humans on the move. RCA missionary Angel Lopez presents about this ministry.
