Please register and plan to attend the Room for All National Conference scheduled for October 24-26 at Central Reformed Church in Grand Rapids.

Please also consider volunteering for any or all of the opportunities discussed below. This is our opportunity to show our many out of town guests a true Christian spirit of hospitality.

1) Host Housing Some registrants, especially college and seminary students, will opt for host housing instead of the hotel. Most housing will be for Thursday October 24 and Friday October 25.

2) Airport transportation Many people flying in will have friends or family meeting them at the airport, but some will need Room for All-arranged transportation. We anticipate most of the arrivals on Thursday the 24th (a few on Wednesday the 23rd) and departures will occur throughout Saturday the 26th, with a few on Sunday the 27th.

3) Shuttle between Hotel and Conference site While the mile walk from the Holiday Inn on Pearl Street to Central is do-able for some people, we need to offer a shuttle service on Thursday afternoon and Friday and Saturday mornings to Central and Thursday and Friday evening and Saturday noon from Central back to the hotel. Volunteers are needed to be shuttle drivers or provide a shuttle vehicle. A church van would be ideal, but 7 passenger vans and SUVs work well. No one is expected to be “the” shuttle person, but if 4 or 5 people take a shift or two we are covered.

4) Eerdman Book table Volunteers are needed to staff the book table. The book table will be open during breaks and (possibly) a group book-signing event during the conference. Volunteer(s) would need to keep track of how many copies of each book sold and accept cash or check (no credit cards), and secure the funds and books

There may be another volunteer request later regarding meal arrangements, etc.
