The Holland BPW is hosting an electronics waste recycling collection on Saturday, May 20, at the Holland BPW building at 625 Hastings Avenue, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. There will be rebates for large working appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers. Small electronics will be accepted as well. Hope Church will provide volunteers for the events and will receive a stipend for all the pounds of electronics received.
You can help with this event in several ways. First, volunteers are needed to help unload electronics at the event, contact Joe Arevalo to volunteer (joearevalo23@gmail.com). Second, come and recycle your old electronics. Lastly, I encourage you to contact your elected state representatives and tell them to increase support for electronics recycling.
